Together with our partners, we work on drinking water, sanitation and water for agriculture for around 100,000 people each year. Moreover, Protos interventions on water today are levers of sustainable social, economic and structural changes.
In Uganda, Protos and its local partners developed a participatory monitoring & planning tool for adaptation to climate and environmental change, resulting in an introductory brochure, an extensive manual for facilitators, and a short documentary.
In 2014, Protos and JESE decided to focus intensely on the Kayinja landing site in order to develop a model site that can document on the methods for the improvement of the livelihoods in changing climatic conditions.
In trying to overcome challenges in proper maintenance of water sources, since 2010, Jese in partnership with Protos, facilitated the process of mobilizing, sensitizing and organizing water user committee in the sub counties to form water user associations (WUAs).
