Madonga (Mali), example of good drinking water management
Madonga is an urban municipality of Nioro, in the northwest of Mali. Water is managed by an association of drinking water users. The members are both men and women, and the organization sets an example of good management. Each member takes responsibility, accounting is transparent and accurate and the proceeds from the sale of drinking water are used to repair leaks and other mechanical failures. Water is always available and of good quality, and the users are very satisfied.
